How to Network and Work a Room

Join us on January 23rd at 5pm in Dolan 201, for an exciting seminar led by Professor Scott Brenner. This event serves as a useful prologue to this Spring's networking and recruiting venues, answering the following questions: What is so scary about talking to someone? What is important to convey to the person you are speaking to? What is a recruiter really looking for? What will make you feel comfortable working in a room? What should you ask? This event provides the opportunity to learn about how to give an elevator pitch, and what to communicate and market - i.e, who you are and what you have accomplished. The primary aim is to help you feel best prepared so you can network effectively and with confidence. Satisfies a PDS Level 2 requirement: Pick 1.
